Masters Degree Study

An Advanced Education is Priceless

Archive for December, 2009

Many students often lament that they just need to acquire satisfactory college credits so they could earn a degree and simply push on.  This ‘just-get-by’ perspective is extraordinarily daunting and disheartening, particularly to teachers who want to give students helpful education rather than a degree.  You should be wondering by this time, is there a difference between getting education and getting an online doctorate degree

To start with, college degree is simply a illustration.  It is a ratification attesting that an individual has essentially studied in a selection of helpful fields.  It also suggests that the individual has achieved a target level of subject mastery.  By contrast, education is everything any degree is representing.  It should be considered as the more significant between the two.  That is because it is education that would help people get on with the real-world challenges in the workplace.  It is education that would make anyone rise from above the rest.

Traditionally, students are usually told that earning a school degree is the real key to success.  When success is tackled, it may mean financial and private.  There are many studies that show how people with varsity education are in a position to win the workplace.  They’re often the ones earning significantly higher salaries throughout their lifetime compared to those that are without degrees.  Info like these makes anyone infer that university degree is just leading to a difference.  Thus, many scholars believe that to be able to achieve success, college degrees are important.

If you want to make a difference, you must get into the realisation that it is university education that really makes the difference, not the degree.  Is there a difference between the 2 aside from the abovementioned?  There is.  It is possible that an individual reach a school degree without real education.  It’s also possible that an individual get real education without earning a degree.  Are you confused?

Many college kids just aim to pass subjects and get on to earning the sought-after degree.  They don’t pay much attention to learning and much of the lessons they take in class are not kept.  they could still pass exams and earn good grades at projects.  In the end, they could still manage to graduate from university without much seriousness.

On the other hand, a student may take college courses seriously that they are practically adapting and using the lessons learned to daily life eventualities.  They might have learned lessons thru the heart.  Thus, retention is no problem.  {However ,} due to unlikely and unavoidable circumstances, they could not be in a position to finish college and earn a degree ( usually due to financial restraints ).

So which is better, reaching a degree or reaching education?  Initially, everyone would say it is both.  But a closer and deeper take on the issue would lead you to a single possible answer : it is the education.  {However ,} the world and the workplace still have to learn from this realisation.  These days, degrees are still considered to be synonymous to education.  People have yet to see companies and potential companies looking more closely into this debate.

For the meantime, people with both a degree and education are on the winning end.  It is just vital that you open up to learn more while you are studying to earn a degree.  You may have both if you only would be more significant in finishing your school and learning basic professional abilities.

Due to the increasing number of students who showed poor or below average performance during their freshman year in college, more and more programs and educational enhancements are conducted so as to increase students level of knowledge. That is why the SAT, or Scholastic Aptitude Test was formulated, for the reason of measuring a student’s ability and preparing high school students for the next level of education that they must take.

The SAT Reasoning Test, as it is commonly called today, is a standardized examination that is required for all College aspirants in the United Sates. This is developed and owned by the College Board, which is a non-profit organization aiming to help future College students get ready for college. This is done through an examination to test whether a student is capable or not of going onto the College level.

The Scholastic Aptitude Test consists mainly of three (3) major sections, namely Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing. The Critical Reading part includes 3 subparts, two of which are a 25-minute section and the other is a 20-minute section. Critical Reading is primarily about sentence completion and reading passages. The Mathematics part, is further divide into 3 parts: one 20-minute section and two 25-minute section. This section already allows the use of calculator programs, so the student is able to save time in computing, much faster than before when computing was done manually. Last but not the least is the Writing part, which involves essay writing and a multiple choice component. The multiple choice section comprises 70% of the Writing part, while the remaining 30% is for the essay writing. The writing section is formulated to be able to test the student’s writing skills.

There is a deeper reason why the SAT exam was first formulated and came about because of these three major divisions included in the exam. The Critical Reading section is mainly for testing the students vocabulary. The Mathematics section is included to test and enhance the student’s logical reasoning and problem solving skills. The Writing part, which was already stated earlier, is included to test and measure the student’s writing skills.

It will take three hours and forty-five minutes to finish the SAT exam. Although it usually takes longer, more than 4 hours because of added procedures such as preparation and distribution of materials, orientation and filling out forms. At the present, you have to pay to be able to sit the Scholastic Aptitude Test.

There has been some issues regarding the need to take the SAT exam, as well as the price that you have to pay to assess your eligibility for College. Continuous efforts are being made to finalize and improve this College entrance exam, mainly for the purpose of enhancing the student’s College eligibility in the U.S. The public is increasingly showing positive feedback with regards to this procedure. Students in their junior or senior year of high school are allowed to take the SAT exam. There are different means to ready yourself for the SAT exam, such as undertaking a free SAT practice exam online or purchasing handbooks about the possible questions to be given on the actual SAT exam.

In this article I will be writing about the ways in which you can ensure examination success, whether these are school examinations, college examinations, industry examinations or any other form of examination; the rules for success are basically the same. I hope you enjoy the read.

I would like to make it clear that I am in no way a teacher and that what I write in this article is just my personal opinion! Nowadays in my business life I am involved in the fields of stuttering therapy, jobs in foster care and also with a number of cost reduction experts.

My fifteen year old step daughter is currently taking her GCSE examinations here in the UK. She is a really great person, she is decent, honest, caring, trustworthy and she certainly understands right from wrong. She is also a very sociable teenager; this is very good but at times can have its drawbacks, as you will see later in the article.

To gain success in any examination I believe that preparation is the key. Each person will be fully aware of just how much pre-examination work they need to put in prior to the exam for example how much revision. This of course will depend on how strong they are and how much understanding they have of the given subject.

Just let us think for a moment about the actual time when we are taking the exam. If we know that we have put in the required effort and required amount of preparation we are then able to relax with the comfort/peace of mind that we could have “done no more”. If on the other hand we are taking the examination knowing that we could and should have done more then this will put us straight away on “a downer”. We may even have certain voices in our head stating “you have let yourself down; there is no way that you are going to pass this exam because you have been lazy”. This is a stress that any person does not need on the day of the examination and certainly not during the examination.

These are points that I have tried to get across to my step-daughter but at times it seems as if her friends are far more important than any examination. She always seems to be talking to her friends on the telephone or via some messaging service on the internet. She will learn as I am going to make sure that she learns! At the end of the day what you get out of any examination is the same as what you put in
