If not, how about masters degree in accounting? or phd in accounting?

Off course with bachelor degree in accounting you become aware of accounts but to be called a professional Accountant you must pass CPA, CA etc.

Masters and Ph.d are good options but they are academic qualifications. As Accountant is a professional field I will recommend professional qualification CIMA, ACCA, CPA etc.

I am about to graduate within tow months from philadelphia university of Jordan, i dont know how to find universities that give the master degre in the U.S and i need to know how much it will cost me.

I'd suggest just searching for the degree on the internet. I'm sure many schools will come up that offer the Master in Accountancy (M.Acc.) degree. A few that I know about are University of Florida, Ohio State University, and especially University of South Florida which is well known for their excellent M.Acc. program. But there are very many. Costs will vary.

Universities having requirement of 6 IELTS bands in masters degree(MIT, prof. accounting) in western australia?
batch start after july for international students

G'day,

I'm not very clear on what the question is. If you wants to know which uni offered the courses in Western Australia, all of them are.

To find out the course that you are taking and where it is offered, I suggest you to go to IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to international students who wants to continue their study in Australia. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification (in English and original language).

Hope this helps. Good luck on your study and welcome to Australia.

I am looking in to going back to school, and I definetly want to persue accounting. My question is, which would be more beneficial, an Associates or Masters degree in Accounting. With an associates would you still be concidered a CPA? or is there more to it?

CPA is a license from the state that requires a very specific collection of coursework that includes a bachelor's degree with significant coursework in accounting (or additional accounting coursework such as the master's or a grad certificate).

Getting a master's requires that you already have a bachelor's degree. Most graduate programs in accounting will require that you have an undergraduate accounting background or take some leveling courses.

Getting an associates degree in accounting will prepare you for work as a technician in accounting or in bookeeping – this is different than the profession of public accounting.

The intermediate option between the associates and master's in accounting is the bachelor's in accounting.

All accountants are not CPAs – some hold other certifications and specialize in other work and some have no certifications.

If you already have a bachelor's degree (in anything) – then the master's would be the way to go as far as a new degree. It takes about the same time as an associates and has far higher value.

If you have a bachelor's degree and simply want to meet the requirements to take the CPA exam (you do not have to have a degree in accounting, only the required courses) then you should contact your state CPA board for the requirements to take the exam and then take those courses you still need. You might also consider the MBA which is designed for those with a bachelor's degree outside of business and do a concentration in accounting.
